My feelings on Funimation releasing HetaliaFirst off how can a Dub ruin the series? Every Funimation DVD has the original Japanese audio so if you don't like the dub just switch the audio. Simple.
And shouldn't we as fans pay for the DVD anyway so we can pay back the Japanese animators for their hard work in making this series possible? I don't think we'll show our loyalty to the series by not paying the animators their just due. Not to mention these animators work in tough conditions for more hours than we can fathom.
Another problem is fans automatically assuming that the dub will be bad when the auditions hadn't even started yet. This is L4D2 all over again.
Either way I will buy the DVD and give the dub a shot. If it's no good I'll switch the audio. I'm doing this to pay back Hidekaz Himaruya for creating the series and the animators as well. By doing this not only will we repay them but maybe help insure more seasons to get made for all of us to enjoy.
